Lynne Marek, senior reporter, Crain’s Chicago Business
Marek joined Crain’s in 2010, where she covers media companies and the Chicago financial industry, including futures trading, private equity, hedge funds and investment banking. She formerly was Chicago bureau chief of the National Law Journal, where she reported on the city’s legal marketplace, law firms, the courts and litigation from 2006 to 2010. Before that, she was a reporter for 11 years at Bloomberg News in Washington, D.C., and Chicago, covering airlines, railroads, Midwest Federal Reserve officials and corporate disclosure with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. She began her journalism career as a researcher and cub reporter in the Washington bureau of the Chicago Tribune.
