Ben Silver joined the Citizen Advocacy Center staff in April 2016. As a community lawyer, Mr. Silver assists clients with legal questions, monitors local governments, and ensures public access to government. Silver previously served as a Legal Fellow in the Office of Congressman Sander Levin, where he advised the Congressman and his staff on campaign finance reform and voting rights. While attending Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Silver served as a student lawyer in Georgetown’s Federal Legislation and Administrative Clinic. At the Clinic, he worked with the National Women’s Law Center to advocate for the Student Non-Discrimination Act. Mr. Silver also worked as an enforcement intern for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Washington Field Office, where he investigated claims of workplace discrimination.
